Accor announces a partnership with SHe Travel Club, the 1st hotel label dedicated to women’s travel needs
SHe Travel Club is the first and only hotel label that leverages technology and individual women’s feedback to create a label specifically designed to meet their expectations and requirements.
Accor and SHe Travel Club, the only independent hotel label designed by women for women, today announce a partnership that aims to reinvent the travel and hospitality experience for women.
SHe Travel Club is the first and only hotel label that leverages technology and individual women’s feedback to create a label specifically designed to meet their expectations and requirements. Accor’s main brands, including Sofitel, MGallery, Novotel and Mercure, will be part of a pilot project of 50 hotels in Europe and the Middle East to encourage the roll-out and growth of Label She. Its ambition is to work hand in hand to raise the bar and support a better travel experience for women.
Women make up 64% of global travellers, but according to SHe’s global survey of 5,000 women across five regions, 85% consider their needs not fully met by the industry. The survey identified four key pillars: safety, comfort, service and catering and entertainment. Thus, the labeling process evaluates hotels against these four categories and offers three levels (Silver, Gold and Platinum) for all hotel segments. More than two hundred hotels around the world are already certified by the SHe Label.
Patrick Mendes, Accor Group Commercial Director, said, “We are delighted to partner with the SHe Travel Club and support their initiative to improve the travel experience for women. Accor is an entrepreneurial and disruptive spirit and always seeks to help organizations innovate and develop positive solutions to rethink the hotel business model with tailored guest experiences.
Maud Bailly, General Manager Southern Europe and co-president of the Accor network for gender equality, diversity and inclusion RiiSE added: “Caring for people is in Accor’s DNA and this collaboration represents another step in ensuring that our ecosystem is a safe and inclusive environment that everyone can enjoy. Welcoming others, adapting and valuing their differences is one of the founding principles of our managerial ethics.
Valérie Hoffenberg, founder of the She Travel Club, said: “I am delighted to initiate this partnership with Accor. Our SHe Label aims to promote hotels that adapt their offers to the specific expectations of women travellers. Our SHe label contributes to positive change in the empowerment of women everywhere.
Alina Zapopadko, Hotel Manager, Novotel Dubai Al Barsha, commented: “Our team is delighted to partner with the SHe Travel Club and delighted to support the leading hotel label in its ambition to improve the travel experience for women and meet the needs of the new social paradigm. The Novotel Dubai Al Barsha proudly “wears” the Platinum label, a symbol of its commitment to continuously support organizations that innovate and rethink solutions for an exceptional hotel experience”.
