BMW’s latest EV concept is a modern mini-bike for beginners
BMW’s Motorrad division has been on a roll in recent years, delivering fun and futuristic concept vehicles. Let’s take the example of the CE 04 electric scooter. It seems that the company’s design team got the idea straight from Akira Where Ghost in the shell. His latest project is no different.
Spotted by The edge, BMW describes CE 02 as “neither a classic motorcycle nor a scooter”. The company is considering this for young people who may never have ridden a motorcycle before. Like its big brother, it is an all-electric vehicle.
BMW did not disclose the capacity of the on-board battery, but said the electric vehicle could go about 56 miles on a single charge, while an 11 kW belt motor gives it a top speed of 56 miles per time. With its included 15-inch front and rear disc brake wheels, the entire frame weighs approximately 264 pounds. This being a concept, you will notice in the photos shared by BMW that there are no pedals or footrests for a rider to put their feet on. What the CE 02 has is storage space for a skateboard that you can use for this purpose instead. Good time.
BMW has not said whether it plans to make the CE 02. But if the automaker decides to make the mini electric bike, it could find a more affordable niche under the CE 04, which will go on sale for around $ 16. $ 000 in 2022.
