Elf wanted Teesside in an unusual vacancy that requires ‘confident, kind and cheerful’ candidates
As vacancies disappear, this one is rather unusual, but it could be fun for anyone with a flair for the festivities.
The call has been made for elves to take seasonal positions on Teesside – know someone who is up to it?
The Dobbies Garden Center on Yarm Lane in Stockton ran an “Elves Wanted” ad as it prepares for a busy holiday season.

The center is looking for “confident, kind and cheerful” candidates who can easily feast on the North Pole tales and deliver the magic of Christmas to all ages.
The salary scale has not been released but the job is part-time and seasonal until December 25.
“We call on those who love the Christmas spirit to wear the special costume and bring the magic of Christmas to our customers of all ages,” the job posting reads.
“As an Elf, you will be responsible for creating memorable tours by preparing and helping the children meet Santa Claus in one of our magical caves. Additionally, Santa and Elves meet and entertain groups. family at our breakfast and tea events in our restaurants.
“From the moment you step into the role, you’ll have fun spreading the magic of Christmas. As you feast on stories from the North Pole and quiz the kids on their Christmas list, you’ll have the confidence to spread the happiness. and fill the imagination of children of all ages.
“You will have a confident, kind and cheerful nature, as well as a lot of enthusiasm. You will also be able to engage and build a relationship with people of all ages.”
Everyone knows that Santa Claus needs a lot of help as Christmas approaches, so the work starts on November 27th. The elves will have to work on weekends, then Monday through Friday from December 20 to 25.
