EXTRA: N547k to Ghana, N920k to Kenya – travel agency unveils relocation package for Nigerians
Aero hub travel and tours, a travel agency, says it is offering resettlement package for Nigerians in Ghana and Kenya.
In a leaflet found online, the agency said it offered air and land travel options within Ghana, which cost N547,800 and N470,800 respectively.
He said the cost of air travel covers airfare, five days in a hotel, airport transfer and one year’s rent.
Ground transportation costs also include transportation and one year’s rent.
According to the agency, relocation services in Kenya cost N920,500.
He said the money covers airfare, hotel accommodation for five days, airport transfer, rent and visa fees.
The agency’s contact person said a yellow fever card and proof of vaccination and a negative COVID-19 test will be required for relocation. He added that resettlement in Ghana could be done on the same day of payment.
The development comes amid rising instances of insecurity across the country, ranging from attacks to kidnappings, which have prompted many Nigerians to seek opportunities to settle in other countries.
In a recent incident, armed men attacked a Kaduna-bound train around the Kateri-Rijana area of Kaduna.
The train would have almost reached Rigassa, his last stop when the gunmen struck.
Some passengers were killed while others were injured and abducted.
The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) said 22 passengers are still missing.
The NRC said it confirmed the safety of 186 passengers and that 51 phone numbers on the manifest were either off or unreachable.
