Halkidiki tourism organization meets key players in the German travel market

The executives of the Halkidiki Tourism Organization (HTO) had the opportunity to meet German tour operators, travel agents and journalists at the annual conference of the German Travel Association (DRV) which took place recently in Costa Navarin in Messinia.

An important annual event for the German travel industry, the physical conference brought together more than 400 representatives of the German travel and tourism industry, including OTAs. Another 250 tour operators participated in the online conference.

The Halkidiki Tourism Organization participated in the DRV conference aimed at promoting the many popular destinations in the region. During the event, its leaders had the opportunity to present the destination and its comparative advantages to the conference delegates and also to meet major players in the German travel and tourism market.

The president of the organization, Grigoris Tasios, held meetings with the group director TUI Corporate & External Affairs Thomas ellerbeck and the president of DRV, Norbert Fiebig and CEO, Dirk Inger.

“The conference revealed the willingness of German travel agents to support the official opening of Greek tourism from next March,” the organization said.

Held in Messinia from October 28-31, the conference was organized by DRV and the Greek National Tourism Organization with the support of the Greek Association of Travel Agents HATTA and confederation FedHATTA; the Peloponnese Region, Costa Navarino and Aegean Airlines.
