Ireland in the spotlight at the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai

Thirteen Irish tourism businesses traveled to Dubai last week to join Tourism Ireland at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM), aiming to increase the number of tourists from the United Arab Emirates to Ireland in 2022 and beyond.

Tourism Ireland hosted meetings for Irish tour operators with leading UAE travel professionals, and also hosted a networking dinner with influential UAE-based luxury travel buyers.

The ATM is the largest travel trade event in the UAE, attracting over 20,000 visitors, including leading tour operators, travel agents, business tourism buyers, airlines, travel media and bloggers – and more from the UAE, but from all over the world.

Statement from Tourism Ireland’s Director for Asia and the Middle East

Tourism Ireland’s Director for Asia and the Middle East, Aisling McDermott, said: “Tourism Ireland is delighted that 13 Irish tourism businesses – and many key travel professionals from the UAE – have taken the time to join at [the] Arab travel market this week. It has provided another important platform for Tourism Ireland to showcase and sell Ireland to influential travel professionals in the UAE. Our message to these travel professionals is that Ireland is once again open for business and we look forward to welcoming their customers back.
