VC reports a trekking expedition

JAMMU, September 27: University of Jammu Vice-Chancellor Professor Manoj Dhar today announced a 6-day trekking expedition to Sanasar-Shankhpal.
The expedition was organized by the Department of Sports and Physical Education of the University of Jammu in collaboration with Pir Panchal Adventures in which 60 students from the various colleges of the province of Jammu affiliated with the university participate as well as the university students.
The event will culminate on October 2.
The Vice-Chancellor appreciated the efforts of the management, especially Dr Daud Iqbal Baba, Sports Director and all his team to encourage participation in adventurous activities by organizing such types of events.
During the 6 day expedition, trekking will be organized on various routes including Sanasar, Shankpal and Chilla in addition to other activities such as abseiling, zipline, painting competition, assembly workshop of tent and initiation into adventure equipment.
Officials accompanied the expedition, including Dr Daud Iqbal Baba, Gagan Kumar, Sanjeev Sharma, Harinderpal Singh, Kuljeet Singh, Sourav Jamwal, Sanjay Bandral, Manik Slathia and Pranav Bandral (director of the Pir Panchal Adventure Group).
